Location: Albstadt or Isny (hybrid)

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that every component sourced from suppliers meets the highest standards of quality and compliance so the devices people rely on are safe, reliable, and ready for everyday life.

Tasks:
This position acts as the link between suppliers and the internal quality system, ensuring that components and processes are audit-ready and compliant with international standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Selecting, approving, and evaluating suppliers for new and existing products.
  • Defining and monitoring supplier quality plans, KPIs, and improvement measures.
  • Conducting supplier audits and ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing supplier-related risks, change notifications, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Coordinating with cross-regional teams to ensure smooth product releases and ongoing quality improvements.
  • Ensuring supplier documentation is accurate, accessible, and audit-ready.
 

Your Profile:

  • Degree in engineering, natural sciences, or related field.
  • Experience in quality assurance and supplier quality, ideally in the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, Lean methods, and quality tools (e.g. FMEA, audits, 8D problem solving).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (QAD is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • A hands-on mindset, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a global matrix environment.
  • Fluency in German and English.

Bonus if you also have:

  • Background in machining, plastics, or electronics.
  • Familiarity with REACH/RoHS and conflict minerals compliance.
