Title: Director of Social Media Strategy
Location: Baltimore Area / Hybrid
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 + performance bonus
Overview:
Join our client’s dynamic Social Media team as a Director of Social Media Strategy! We're seeking a senior leader with a passion for shaping integrated social media strategies that drive measurable results. As a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, you'll blend storytelling and strategy to fuel awareness, engagement, and conversion. With 10+ years of experience in social media strategy, influencer marketing, or integrated digital planning, you'll lead the development of high-performing social programs that unite organic content, influencer marketing, and paid amplification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of integrated social media strategies that drive measurable performance
- Partner with creative, media, and analytics teams to develop cross-functional campaigns
- Guide always-on and campaign-based programs across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Define success metrics aligned to client KPIs and lead performance optimizations
- Stay current on emerging trends in paid social, creator marketing, and e-commerce behaviors
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to thought leadership within the agency
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in social media strategy, influencer marketing, or digital planning (agency experience strongly preferred).
- Proven success integrating organic and paid social across CPG, food & beverage, or e-commerce accounts.
- Strong understanding of digital commerce platforms (Amazon, DTC, social shopping, Instacart, etc.).
- Confident leader who excels at multi-platform planning, performance optimization, and client storytelling.
- Clear, persuasive communicator with a knack for simplifying complexity and earning client trust.
- Passionate about the social landscape, from cultural trends to creator collaborations and platform innovation.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
